About Us
My name is Steve Uhl and I am a self proclaimed marketing Guru. I absolutely LOVE marketing and have devoured everything I can get my hands on put out by the most successful marketing geniuses . 

My first major breakthrough came when I realized that EVERY THING I THOUGHT I KNEW ABOUT MARKETING WAS WRONG. 

I too was a victim of the advertising media salesperson. Most amazing was the deer in the headlights look of the hundreds and hundreds of business owners I have interviewed. 

In recollection of my life I have always been wired as an entrepreneur. I started my first business at 18 I also grew up in a family business. Having weaved in and out of being a employee and business owner I always thought and acted as an entrepreneur even when employed.  My last run was in corporate America as a middle manager responsible for 3 profit centers and one that I developed and started from scratch. These were all million dollar businesses.  I had access to millions of dollars in marketing resources that should have produced stellar results. However these very well educated MBA's and marketing masters consistently spent my marketing dollars delivering little or no results and tons of excuses pointing the finger back to me. What a crock. After leaving corporate America I bought into a niche market direct mail franchise and spent the next couple of years in the trenches with small to medium size business owners. 

This is where I learned that every thing I thought I knew was wrong and discovered an almost underground network of marketing gurus that in some cases were condemned by the conventional marketing agencies. However these guys were incredibly successful in achieving phenomenal results. There is no magic or mystical process, the success of direct marketing is very scientific and some of the theories and techniques developed in the early 1900's are still applicable today. There is a trail of true genius that has paved the way and to study the past is the paved road to success.

In conclusion branding and repetitive  advertising with out specific measurable results is total BS. Yes the local paper, Yellow Book and coupon pack salesperson will take offense to the statement. However direct marketing to a specific market with a specific call to action using the right media will provide MEASURABLE results branding will not.
